Flexibility

What is something that can be called a difficult to break - neediness to the extent of addiction. At times, neediness can be to the extent of total lack of awareness of one's own neediness. It's important to be self-aware, refine and regulate one's own needs, and move away from addiction.

Which is the heaviest thing ? Guilt. Guilt arises when one has to break ones own self framed rules. We never know how these rules are formed within us in the first place. Many times, rules and discipline serve us, but there is no point in rigidly holding on to it and letting them create guilt. This does not mean we live with untamed, unrefined needs and desires. Discipline is important as long as it serves us by leading us in the right direction. When rules themselves become a blocker to the lightness of the heart, it's time to revist the rules.

Heart based dynamic living is living in the Now, spontaneously without being driven by the neediness nor by the rigid rules. It's working from both directions at the same time and moving towards moderation.

The need to follow our self formed rules can be called a need for perfection. The greatest conflict is never from outside. Its the conflict between  our own needs; like our need for something can seem conflicting with our own idea of ideal or perfection. This conflict gives us the greatest fear. Overcoming such a  fear is a great relief.

This is possible only when there is flexibility in the bidirectional approach. Refinement of the needs and realignment of the self formed rules, and we know we are moving in the right direction when we feel lighter, calmer, and there is clarity  from within. Only flexibility makes it possible.
