Our first meeting with Daaji

In December 2018, me and my family visited Kanha Shanthivanam for the first time for middle east seminar. 

The place was just marvelous, a nature's paradise with so many varieties of plants and trees. The facilities which were provided were outstanding.

It was a coincidence that during our stay at Kanha ashram,  it was our younger son's first birthday. I wanted him to meet Daaji in person .Our elder son was named by Chariji in Chennai and our younger son was named by Daaji in email.

I had requested the concerned person that we would like to meet the Guru on our sons birthday. To my surprise, while we were at the food court,  I got a call requesting to come to Master's cottage .We hurried up to the cottage. 

Kanha is a big area we had to walk for five to ten minutes to the Master's cottage. As we were heading towards the cottage I felt there was divinity in every single tile on the pavement,in every tree, in every plant in every stone I was feeling the presence of Guruji.Divine presence in both the animate and inanimate.

When we entered the cottage or rather say office of the president,that's the way Daaji calls it, I was taken away by the simplicity of this great person. He was in a very simple room with no big luxuries. He had provided all the facilities to the visitors but He was leading a very simple lifestyle. First thing which I saw in Him was Simplicity.

There were five more people in the His office at that time, other than our family.  The second thing I witnessed about Him was that He was a great listener. Whatever people had to say even if it was a small child, He listened to what other's said with great respect and attention.He was paying attention to minute details.

We interacted with Him for sometime, he gave chocolates to the kids. He asked me to remove my small son's saliva tie, he took scissors from his stationary and cut the small tag. Then he told me " you don't know to cut also ". I was feeling that He was cutting a big bondage from my baggage.

My husband asked Master if he could take a snap with Him, for that master laughed and said " come and dance with me" . Dance inner meaning is spiritual work. 

While others were talking,  I was curious to read what is there in Daaji's heart. That moment ,I saw Daaji inside Daaji's heart.

I was a little confused why I saw His form in His heart instead of seeing His Masters form in His heart.

After sometime we left from there while we were walking back to our room, my heart was singing exactly these words from a movie :

" Naan endra sol inini illai,

Naan enbadae ini ni daan,

Inimelum varam ketka thevai illai".

Meaning: " There is no more I, 

From now on I means you,

There is nothing more to ask for".

The divine essence is the same transferred from one guru to the other in the hierarchy of heartfulness. Just the physical form varies.  I witnessed the same love in Daaji which I saw in  Chariji and today on His birthday I understood why I saw His own form in His heart, self mastery and also because there is no difference between Him and His Guru.May everyone attain that kind of mergence.

 

Walking with Him in love ~Part 2

The part 1 of my spiritual journey titled walking with Him in love , comprising of my experiences under the guidance of my guru Chariji between 2003 to 2009 can be read in this link 

This is a humble summarization of next phase of my spiritual journey from 2010 to 2021 under the guidance of my gurus Chariji and Daaji  .

Well, the first phase of spiritual journey is more about seriously choosing a spiritual way of life from the deeper ,real sense . The next phase phase of the journey which I thought would be a peaceful easy cakewalk turned to be quiet the opposite .This stage was filled with lot of tests, and blessings .

Our consciousness cannot expand unless we undergo different levels of tests ,unless we go through different experiences. Experiences are best teachers, reading and writing are just baby steps. Experiences and situations change us inside out. We may not understand the why of things when we go through them but later point of time we can recognize how much certain events and situations have changed our perspective and attitude towards life .

For many years there was a big uplift in consciousness through tests and more the tests, more the blessings in the form of spiritual condition to be able to handle the tests . Those conditions gave the strength to face the tests . My mind was running more  behind those unique conditions and state than the Guru .

This process was going on deeper and deeper and one fine day I suddenly felt like I was told just go and do your day to day work. I felt like taking a big U turn and coming back to square 1 after 15 years. For a couple of years I felt a little lost and there was dryness in condition, consciousness. Then I learnt that even the spiritual experiences are not eternal. Suddenly I was reminded I am a small girl, catching hold of my Guru's hands and I am just walking with Him in love . This reminder was enough to remove all the dryness and change everything . 

I felt the safest thing in existence is just walking with Him in love . I thought I was the lover and He was the beloved, gradually I saw how the roles interchanged . He is both the lover ,the beloved and the love that flows . He gives me the tests as well as the strength to go through them .Material life changes, spiritual condition and consciousness also changes . The only thing with no rise and fall is just my walk with Him . That which is changeless is eternal . That which is eternal is the Ultimate Reality . 

I have named my blog as towards Ultimate and towards reality, Walking with Him in love is the ultimate Reality I have witnessed in this life . 

It's a eternal journey . Only thing is I wish I always remember that and pray I remember the eternal walk. 

One thing which needs to be revealed is if there is any movement in the walk or if it's all in stillness. Probably the next phase of the journey should reveal that.

Gain strength by connecting within

At times mind is not inward tuned, when fear, doubts anxiety and uncertainty engulfs the mind,life seems to be very tough. Knowingly or unknowingly we may project our thoughts and feelings to the outside world, but who can hp us more than our own self ?

There is no such thing like once and for all. Life is a process of continuous evolution hence tests, learnings, changes, mistakes, corrections etc keeps on repeating continuously.

In a broader sense fear, anxiety, doubts all engulf the mind when we don't live in the NOW.  Though we know how precious it is to live in the NOW, yet we deviate. My close circle and I myself  ask me this question,  sometime back  I might have learnt, realised or written something about overcoming fear, living in the NOW, later point of time I might have forgotten it and need a reminder. At times we may get good insights from around us to pull us back to the normal and at other times only we need to help ourselves.

It's very natural and hence ok to deviate, but what is important is how quickly you pull yourself back to reality. 

Inward connection is the only way to tackle all our challenges. We need to find a way to centre to our inner self,  it could be prayer, meditation, writing, singing, dancing, cooking, driving, gardening, painting, catching up with friends or just a long walk. Whatever is your way of inner connection do it as often as possible. Only when you are connected within you can face all that which is happening around. Life would be simple, and peaceful when you are in constant company with your inner self - your all time best friend.
